Bryan Arroyo

Bryan is the primary photographic contributor for Shoestring Filter and the author of Shoestring Filter’s monthly blog “filterTalks”. Bryan has been photographing since the mid-1980s. While some of his earlier efforts went unnoticed, he received an honorable mention in the 2004 Nature’s Best Photography Competition.

In addition to being a blogger and the primary photographic contributor for Shoestring Filter, he is also the author of several photography books.

In his spare time, he is an avid outdoorsman and fisherman. He also enjoys spending time with his family and cracking jokes to make people laugh.

Hazel Arroyo

Hazel is the primary content contributor, editor, and social media coordinator for Shoestring Filter. Hazel has been photographing since the early 2000s. She is a recent college graduate who has just launched the website Shoestring Filter as a joint venture with her father.

In addition to being a blogger/editor and social media coordinator for Shoestring Filter, she eats and sleeps. Sometimes.

She loves the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
