Happy Monday Everyone!
Today I’m starting to feel the approach of fall weather, so because of that I decided to share some fall colors with you all. My favorite time of year is between autumn and winter because my favorite thing to do is have a nice cup of coffee and curl up with a great book. Also, the cold reminds me that holidays and family gatherings aren’t too far behind. What are your favorite things to do once the cold weather starts to roll in? Let us know in the comments section!

Fall is our time to work — to get trees cut and firewood and branches hauled out and away, paver walkways finished, weed and wildflower stems mowed, etc.. Housework takes a back seat while we prepare our land to be fire resistant in the spring after snow melts and warm weather returns. (The dust mice have been taking over!) It is when the first snow comes that we can finally stop outside work (after getting rid of the dust mice) and enjoy that cup of coffee and good book–for a moment. Then it’s time to get out the snow shovel and snow blower! Living rural isn’t for sissies — but it keeps us healthy
